Rancho Mirage Real Estate
Many of Rancho Mirage’s residents live in condos and modern developments within the confines of its country clubs, but there are numerous detached ranch-style bungalows and unique modern properties on the market.
Rancho Mirage boasts several country clubs with ornate lakes and sculpted golf courses. There are nine in total, ranging from the large and luxurious Mission Hills club to the more accessible Sunrise Country Club with its residential condos, over 30 sports courts and 20+ swimming pools.
Open floor plans, secluded gardens, and pools is the norm, with homes designed to suit the dry, hot desert climate.
Living in Rancho Mirage
The city enjoys a mix of shaded outdoor plazas and indoor, air-conditioned malls, including The Shops at Palm Desert and the River at Rancho Mirage complex, named after its sparkling artificial river. There’s a good mix of high-end brands, independent retailers, and household names.
Rancho Mirage has several great restaurants clustered in the downtown area between the 111 Highway and Rancho Las Palmas Country Club or situated at the country clubs themselves. Cuisine ranges from juicy steaks sourced from local herds to Belgian, Japanese, and Catalan food.
The region has several mountain trails including routes leading into the Magnesia Spring Ecological Reserve, a 3800-acre area of steep rocky paths and deep shady canyons. There’s also the historic Sunnylands Center with its cacti beds, ornamental gardens, and conference facilities.
