Valley Village Info
The Valley Village district sits halfway between Sherman Oaks and Burbank and shares borders with Studio City and Valley Glen. The southeast corner touches the intersection of the 101 and 170 Freeways, providing residents easy entry to two major arteries of the city.
In addition to nearby freeways to get in and out of Valley Village, denizens also enjoy some of the best public transportation options of any neighborhood in the county. To get across the Valley, you can hop on the Metro Orange Line (Laurel Canyon stop) or take it to connect with the Red Line at North Hollywood Station which will take you into Hollywood and as far as Downtown Los Angeles.
Getting around by bike is also easy given the Valley’s flat topography. The Orange Line Busway Bike Path carves its way through the district along Chandler Boulevard. The flat terrain and abundance of well-maintained sidewalks also make the area easy to navigate.
While Valley Village is considered a quiet suburb of L.A., it is not without roots to the motion picture industry. Marilyn Monroe lived here from 1944-45 while working at a nearby factory inspecting parachutes. She got her first pinup modeling job at that time and, as they say, the rest is history.

- Children’s play area, picnic tables
- Pool (unheated, seasonal)
- Indoor gymnasium and community room
- North Hollywood Skate Plaza
- Amelia Earhart Regional Library

Valley Village Real Estate
Valley Village home prices are moderate for the city; pricier than nearby Van Nuys but less than Studio City.

A few Modern and Contemporary homes also dot the neighborhood. Architectural styles for multi-family residences and condos are typically Mediterranean, Moorish, Cape Cod, Traditional, and Colonial.
Careful zoning over the years (via the Valley Village Homeowners Association) meant many homes were required to be setback from the roadways creating many tree-lined streets and well-manicured yards.
