As befits one of the most exclusive areas in the Coachella Valley, Indian Wells typically has fewer homes on the market than its neighboring cities. Those that are for sale are often stunning custom homes in landscaped gardens with pools and gated access.

Many of the Indian Wells' most luxurious homes are situated within exclusive country clubs including Indian Wells and the Vintage Country Club, where several Fortune 500 CEOs own properties.

These clubs offer world-class golfing facilities including two ranked within the top 25 courses in the United Stats. The clubs also feature excellent restaurants, spas, and exquisitely sculpted grounds.

Those wishing to improve their tennis game couldn’t wish for a better facility than the Tennis Gardens. When they’re not hosting major tournaments, they offer single, pair and group memberships, plus coaching for learners of all ages. With 29 courts and a 16,100-capacity center court, there’s plenty of opportunity to observe the pros in action.

Shopping and Dining

There aren’t many commercial shopping centers in Indian Wells. This is by design, to preserve the sleepy, beautifully relaxing community feel. However, the Village at Indian Wells, on Highway 111 and Cook Street, provides a selection of boutiques, a pharmacy, coffee shops and grocery stores.

Indian Wells is a short drive to Palm Springs and La Quinta, so the scarcity of shopping and nightlife in town is not much of a concern.
